Looking For Rainmeter Skins For Your Computer? Here’s a List of Basic Skins Available For Free
Rainmeter is an open source and free desktop measurement utility for Windows, developed under the GNU GPLv2 license. It enables users to generate and display customized user-created applets or skins on Windows systems, which can be used to display data from almost any hardware device, such as digital cameras, microphones, weather stations, video monitors, infrared detectors, GPS/RFID devices and wireless network adapters. To use Rainmeter, you first need to download and install the Rainmeter software and then open it up with the "Settings" tab. From there, you’ll need to configure your Rainmeter to your liking. There are two main ways to do this: directly through the Rainmeter application (which is the recommended method) or through a web-based interface provided by the Rainmeter website. Here are some important tips you should follow for either method.
If you’re directly using the Rainmeter application, you can simply set the Rainmeter settings through the usual Windows control panel interface. However, if you use the Rainmeter site, you’ll need to go through some configuration screens and make certain choices before being able to use the Rainmeter application on your computer. In most cases, you’ll be prompted to choose a username and a password to access the Rainmeter site and enable the application. You will also be required to read an activation code provided in order to activate the Rainmeter skin on your desktop computer; normally this code is long but easy to remember.
In most cases, the best Rainmeter skins available for free are those that come with a freeware program such as Windows XP Home Edition. The freeware program offers skin customization options similar to those of the paid Rainmeter programs, including options for font type and color, background color and so on. These are also good for people who want to try out Rainmeter without spending too much money on buying a license or otherwise incurring any expense. In addition, Windows desktop editions come with the Windows default set of skin customization options, which are pretty good as well.
